Our Environment Managment System has received international recognation
LA MERIDIONALE environmental policy has obtained ISO 14001 certification
Det Norske Veritas (DNV) has granted LA MERIDIONALE ISO 14001 certification for the implementation of its Environment Management System (EMS). Its has now become one of the few passenger ship-owners in the Mediterranean to hold this certification.
Since 2005, LA MERIDIONALE has been involved in a project concerning the sustainable management of its activities aimed at reducing their impact on the environment.
This new certification endorses a proactive environmental policy which is the natural furtherance of all the progress made by the Company in terms of quality and safety. In these fields, LA MERIDIONALE was the first French ship-owner in the Mediterranean and the second in France running passenger ships to obtain the double international quality certification ISM (safety management) and ISO 9002 (quality management). The company is now standarded NF EN ISO 9001 version 2000.
