The name of our new ship has been unveiled : PIANA
The PIANA will join our fleet in March 2011 !
The village of Piana and his "calanches" cliffs, classified a World Heritage site by UNESCO, overlook the Gulf of Porto on the west coast, offering a panoramic view of natural scenery that makes this site one of the most beautiful in Corsica.
The red granite cliffs, etched from erosion and rising vertically from the deep blue sea, have earned this Corsican marine site protected status, along with the Gulf of Girolata and the Scandola Reserve...so PIANA was the natural name !
Since 2005, our company has been committed to an approach designed to protect the environment. The protection of the Corsican coast is a major point in this effort and the PIANA will thus benefit from the latest developments in terms of sustainable developments : reduction in energy consumption (e.g.silicone paint to improve resistance), electronic injection for jet propulsion,etc...
